DOE RUN NAMES MARD TREASURER AND CONTROLLER
ST. LOUIS (Dec. 1, 2008) – Gary Mard, corporate controller for
The Doe Run Companysince 2007, has assumed additional responsibilities as its treasurer.
Mard has served as corporate controller since 2007 for Doe Run, a global leader in lead production and recycling. In his expanded role, he will be responsible for the company’s banking and leasing relationships; cash management and forecasting; and customer credit.
“This is a natural progression of Gary’s career at Doe Run since he joined us in 2007,” said Terry Fox, chief financial officer for The Doe Run Company. “Gary has demonstrated his leadership and business insights since he came on board, and we now look to him to help direct our financial capabilities we will need in order to achieve our long-term goals.”

Before coming to Doe Run, Mard was the chief financial officer for SBI Incorporated and National Garment Company. He also served as the chief operating officer for INDOX Services, a subsidiary of SBI. In these roles, Mard helped grow INDOX Services’ revenues and profits, directed key banking relationships for SBI and improved its benefit and retirement program, among numerous accomplishments.
